Hello my name is Jaharnah Dare-Ryan and I’m 15 years old and Adnyamathanha and Bungarla. I have three brothers nunga( Jordan) budda(Jason) bubrine (jayden) and mum(Linda) and dad(Jason) and my beautiful nephew jarome who was born last year and now he is one years old and his mother Krystal Duncan lives in Adelaide and we all adore her and jarome but he lives with us in port Augusta. Port Augusta is a little town in South Australia like on top of the gulf and I live in Mataranka now up in northern territory where my aunty (Cynthia) lives with her husband larriwe who just got married in April on the 5th.. In between their birthdays and my 14 year old cousin Amy lee Gaston came with me up here and it’s her first time but for me it’s like my 5th time here. I go to this school in jilkminggan like this little community, it’s lovely here cause the people and the reaction like music, and swimming down the waterfalls. I just don’t understand why anyone wouldn’t come here it’s cool and awesome and lots of fun. I’d like to tell all you guys about how my family got started. My Nan (Lorraine Dare) used to live in the bush with her brothers and sisters and one of her brothers got sick and had to go to Adelaide and my other nanna (Patty Dare) said to my Nan come with me cause she was the only sister going so my Nan went with her and my Gumal(Harry Dare) went as well and so they got to Adelaide and the doctors found out that my Nannas and Gumals was not with their parents so they got taking away so they became one of the families in the stolen generation and about 5 decades on the Prime Minister said “sorry” and the day my family was so proud of what he done cause it hurt them and made them happy and it made me sad that it took forever to say sorry … .
